Main Responsibilities of the role

We provide second tier support to Truphone platforms and services that allow our products to function. Our investigation and resolution processes and procedures aim to reduce customer impact in the most agile and efficient way possible. We are responsible to guarantee that our services and platforms are operating at full capacity.

Key Responsibilities 

Technical Support Engineers are the group of people we trust in to guarantee our products are up-to the standard of our customers' needs.

  • Second tier support of failures on platforms/services, following established procedures to provide a fix and mitigate the impact whenever possible;
  • Address internal/external support requests raised via the agreed processes and interfaces;
  • Escalate complex incidents to third level support (internal/external) teams;
  • Maintain a repository of documentation, configuration and procedures to effectively operate the systems, platforms and services.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related technology field is preferred;
  • Fundamental understanding of software and/or mobile network troubleshooting;
  • Fundamental knowledge of MySQL or Oracle SQL;
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
  • Knowledge of system flows, using XML or JSON requests is preferred;
  • English proficiency mandatory, other languages are a plus;
  • Team player, able to work in the multi-cultural environment;
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and demanding environment;
  • Detail conscious, highly organized and methodical with a strong work ethic.
