Main Responsibilities of the role

The Tax & Reporting Analyst will assist the Group Reporting Manager across tax, reporting and systems. This will include researching and advising on tax issues, driving and improving finance processes, and working on a range of ad-hoc projects including systems implementations.

Key Responsibilities 
  • Ownership of tax compliance cycle including coordinating query responses to tax authorities, clients and other third parties.
  • Advise on international direct and indirect tax issues across Truphone's existing portfolio.
  • Participate in tax planning activities to ensure Truphone has the optimal structure and transfer charging arrangements as the company grows and enters new international markets.
  • Interrogating existing Finance processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing project improvement plans.
  • Participating in Finance system implementation projects by drawing on experience of finance systems and helping identify systems best suited to business needs. 

Skills and experience required

  • Experience of working within a tax department - either in practice or industry (secondment experience acceptable).
  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified.
  • Good knowledge of basic direct and indirect taxation principles, including transfer pricing.
  • Energetic individual capable of working with autonomy and driving projects forward.
  • Ambitious, with a desire to learn.
