Main purpose of the role

To contribute as part of the HR team and take overall responsibility for the global HR policies and practices for the Philippines site.

As part of small global HR team, the HR Business Partner for our Philippines office will be an HR generalist who plays a vital role working with the local leaders and their teams to achieve their business goals, by developing programmes, coaching leaders and teams, driving best practice in employee relations, training and operational development and business planning.

You will contribute to talent acquisition and management for the local site, employee engagement and all local 'in country' HR service delivery. You will work closely with the Global HRD to shape, lead, develop and deliver an effective HR service and enable stretching business goals. And working with other HR global colleagues to develop and help create future-oriented and sustainable human resources policies to meet the organisation's current and future anticipated needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively partnering with business units and/or countries to drive and deliver our existing and future core HR processes and services e.g. Performance Management Framework and Cycle; Employee Engagement; Reward: Annual Compensation Review, recognition; Learning and Development planning.
  • Lead and/or project manage HR initiatives
  • Understand key business priorities, translate into practical HR interventions and make sure people management practices are effectively applied
  • Monitor, review and recommend continuous improvements in HR policies, processes and services.  Co-design or help support local and global policy development and their implementation
  • As the primary HR interface, actively support line managers to drive employee questions and employees relations issues to resolution (case management)
  • Provide expert coaching, training and support so managers and employees have confidence in tackling employee issues
  • Proactively monitor employee issues to provide insights and propose early interventions for the business
  • Advises and coaches managers to lead and support their teams through change.
  • Reporting: producing data, statistics and management information
  • Build and support local HR capability.

Skills and experience required

  • A track record of working with leaders, understanding their business, identifying key opportunities/objectives and proposing recommendations that build their capability to deliver
  • Strong, experienced HR business partner ideally with experience of working with a fast moving technology-based organisation
  • Can demonstrate using both 'hard' and 'soft' data to drive insight and recommend interventions
  • Experience in managing and leading successful projects with multiple stakeholders 
  • Is confident, can advise, challenge and coach people at all organisational levels
  • Able to communicate effectively across a wide range of audiences and using a variety of methods
  • Key qualities: analytical skills; problem solving; high energy and personal resilience; a 'can do' approach
  • Able to work independently, prioritise work and manage time effectively and efficiently
  • Able to travel and work across international boundaries
  • Committed, resilient, and a hardworking and proactive approach.
  • Good employee relations experience in APAC.
