Main Purpose of the Role:

 The Human Resources Advisor serves as the primary implementor and point-of-contact for local Human Resources processes in the assigned site, as well as the assistant to the local Human Resources Manager in the development of local HR solutions that enable the site to have effective people management practices and high levels of performance and employee engagement in support of business objectives and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute, as a member of the global HR team, to the formulation of effective HR strategy(ies) in line with the Company's overall strategies and business objectives
  • Work closely with local line managers and their respective managers outside of Manila to ensure effective people management and performance optimisation
  • Deliver change management and business improvement programmes across the defined business units/functions in Manila to optimize performance and enhance employee engagement and loyalty
  • Proactively work in partnership with the wider HR team to understand underlying culture and implement forward-thinking HR strategies that effectively delivers employee performance and engagement
  • Act as a champion of good people management practices which support the empowerment of line managers in HR practice
  • Perform general staff administration processes (e.g., monitoring attendance, leaves) and to execute HR policies
  • Administer offer letters, employment contracts, references, resignation letters, payroll changes - all in relation to the employee lifecycle
  • Assist in management of employee relations, working conditions, disciplinary and grievance procedures, equal opportunities, redundancy processes, paternity and maternity rights and other similar processes.
  • Work with line management and the wider HR team to manage staff training programmes and identify and manage key talent
  • Document staff handbooks, policies and procedures, staff memos, internal communications, strategic HR reports, and employee programmes
  • Aid line managers of the business units/functions with their recruitment
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or by your initiative that are reasonably related to the above

Qualifications required

  • Graduate of any relevant 4-year course (e.g., Psychology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Communications, Behavioural Sciences, Social Sciences)
  • Has 4-7 total years experience in the HR practice in a generalist capacity, with or without supervisory experience
  • Processes Philippine statutory benefits (reports, remittances, claims) with hands-on knowledge in troubleshooting concerns and benefit issue resolution
  • Performs timekeeping, payroll processing, dispute handling, and reporting
  • Conducts the full recruitment process (from requisition to onboarding)
  • Handles discipline cases and employee grievances, with sufficient labor law knowledge
  • Maintains up-to-date HR databases and files (soft and physical) with relevant indexes
  • Has experience in project and event management
  • Has good English communication skills (written and oral) and good computer skills
  • Highly organised, energetic, very independent but operates well in a collaborative environment
  • Values integrity, quality and agility
  • Exhibits many favourable HR personality traits, such as sociability, positivity, proactivity, constructive, observant, being relational or people-oriented, and exhibiting good presence before individuals and groups
  • Keen to value-creation, process improvement, learning and information-sharing
  • Willing to work on primarily an afternoon shift and to adjust work hours based on operational requirements
  • Exposure to global organizations, telecom industry, technology, shared services, off-shored operations and/or call centres are preferences
