Role Title: Business Development Manager, Acquisition

Main Purpose of the Role

The role is primarily to be responsible for acquiring new business both in the Netherlands but also outside of Netherlands in geographies that Truphone has a present. This will primarily focus on targeting and engaging new business customers, identifying opportunities and building a value proposal to win the clients mobile business in the Corporate, Enterprise and Multi-National space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, The Netherlands
  • Deliver mid- and long term strategic business development plans.
  • Optimal alignment with Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Service Management, and Sales Operations groups to effectively align solutions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
  • Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
  • Qualify acquired leads and drive sales conversion.
  • Proactively ensures proper qualification, prospecting, and acquisition of a portfolio of accounts, delivering on pre-set quarterly targets.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Energetic personality, with a high level of enthusiasm and commitment, who thrives on challenge and possess a 'can do' attitude.
  • Good understanding of the global mobile marketplace, including mobile telephony, IoT, and preferably eSIM technology.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
  • Passion to succeed
  • Analytical mind-set and process-thinking skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals
  • Be able to think quickly on your feet and use initiative to create answers, not problems
  • 3-5 years B2B Mobile sales experience in Business Development capacity

Key Selection Criteria

  • Proven track record of significant commercial achievement, and managing successful account relationships.
  • Strong B2B sales experience within the mobile telecoms industry.
  • Possessing a good network of potential account contacts.
  • Experience working as part of a distributed global organization.
