Roaming Data Management and Coordinator

Main purpose of the role

The Roaming Coordinator will be the main point of contact for Truphone and shall continuously work with the international roaming and wholesale team to support wholesale unit activities. The role will be focusing on direct International Roaming agreements to ensure that new and existing roaming partners and solutions are effectively deployed to enhance Truphone's roaming revenues and direct footprint expansion, while maintaining a stable roaming customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Validate and negotiate key IRA terms within company thresholds previously agreed with legal team, ensuring execution of Roaming Contracts, prepare AA.12 and AA.13 documents inserting and modifying deviations, creation of dispatch letters, tracking of the delivery,  continuous contact with roaming partners to keep momentum building the relationship handing over to IOT Coordinators ready to initiate the negotiations as well as arranging the test Sim Cards dispatch and hand over to the IREG team.
  • Generate weekly Roaming/Wholesale Activities reports to reflect progress on Direct Roaming Agreements, Testing and launches
  • Data keeping and maintenance to accurately reflect in the reports such as Roaming/M2M-IoT and IOT Tracker, Dashboard, one note link.
  • Liaise and monitor the scheduling and execution of IREG testing and TADIG validation and escalate any delays to the Head of business management and present during the roaming sign on meeting.
  • Support the wholesale team ensuring the right process is follow before an escalation is raise to commercial team and ensuring the escalation is addressed with the partner and follow up and report until is resolved.
  • Work with internal Technical Support teams IREG/NOC - MSC/Signalling/SGSN and MIS/Billing teams to ensure the latest changes included in our partners IR.21's and AA.14 data is configured accurately on a timely basis
  • Work on Roaming Billing set up requirements (Rating, Partner Accounts) internally and also work with the Roaming Partners and the Clearing Houses
  • Attend to any other duties/reporting assigned by Wholesale and Roaming management when required

Skills and Experience required

  • Tertiary qualifications in telecommunications and/or Information systems and/or Computing Science
  • 3+ years of work experience in a fast-paced working environment is a must
  • Engineering or Roaming work experience will be an added advantage but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fast learner on all fronts - work processes, relevant business applications, etc
  • Able to work with very limited supervision
