Main Purpose of the Role

To act as the senior manager responsible for all infrastructure across the organisation, to include all hardware, systems, operations, networks. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Line management responsibility for the entire IT infrastructure and related staff across all Truphone countries.
  • Overall responsibility for all infrastructure functions: support, operations, systems & IT, networks etc
  • Work with business teams to ensure that the requirements are clearly articulated prior to delivery.
  • Team recruitment, motivation and reviews.
  • Reporting to senior management on productivity and working with other management functions on programmes etc.
  • Oversee a variety of technology based programmes and ensure their end-to-end delivery, covering all features of the project both business and technology related.
  • Ensure that company standards and best practices are maintained across the multiple methodologies used.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong ability to lead, coach and motivate a team of highly talented individuals
  • At least 10 years' experience in a technical management role with proven experience in managing infrastructure programmes and/or operations.
  • A track record in the delivery of major infrastrucure projects.  A background in mobile telecoms or the wider telco industry sector is an advantage but is not essential.
  • Experience of managing complex resources and multiple teams in a matrix structure
  • Management and delivery of concurrent projects that vary in scale and complexity
  • Excellent communicator; driven, energetic, robust and able to work independently without supervision.
  • Commercially orientated and able to manage relationships at a senior level.
