SCN is the company behind Truphone, which, when launched in 2006 became the world's first software-only network operator. Truphone runs on standard off-the-shelf computers, almost entirely using open source technology and internationally-recognised open standards, to which SCN have added some additional custom software modules to provide a seamless mobile VoIP service.
