Truphone is available to almost anyone in the world, offering either a UK or US number and rate as standard.
Truphone offers a range of SIM packs to get you started, see our Buy Now page for details. You can also configure your own SIM by adding local rates (for £7.99 or $12.99 or €7.99 a month) and local numbers (for £12.99 or $19.99 or €12.99 for a year).
Truphone will be adding many more countries over the year meaning you will be able to add multiple rates and numbers on just ONE SIM.
Truphone offers you total peace of mind so that you can add calling credit whenever you need it wherever you are.
Please note: If you live in Europe you will be offered a UK mobile number & local rates as your 'home rate', for all other countries you will be offered a US number and US local rates. For more information please contact Customer Support.
At present, if you live in the United Kingdom you should receive your SIM within 7 days of ordering, and within 14 days if you live outside the UK. It's important to us that you do not have to wait too long so we are working hard to shorten these times.

Using Truphone Local Anywhere Voicemail (dial 505)

Data & Internet Access
Your Truphone service includes data and internet access. To manage your settings please visit My Account.
Local Truphone Numbers
If you have more than one local number associated with your Truphone SIM card (e.g. a local USA number and a local UK number) then the number that is local to the person you are calling will be displayed on their phone when they receive your call by default, unless you have chosen that your number is not displayed (refer to your phone manual).
i.e. if you are calling the USA they will see your USA number,
but if you are calling the UK they will see your UK number.
Your default home country number - the one associated with your billing address - will be displayed when calling other destinations.
Making calls when you travel in Truphone Countries
When you are in Truphone Countries you make and receive calls as you would at home and you can be confident that you are getting the best rates available.
International Roaming in non-Truphone countries
You can use the Truphone roaming service in over 185 countries. For use, in most countries your mobile phone must be a tri-band or quad-band model and for use in Japan it must support 3G (refer to your phone manual).
Truphone offers two roaming options: Standard Roaming offers low cost call rates and Economy Roaming offers even lower rates in some countries by using a different calling method known as call-back.
Standard Roaming
In non-Truphone countries Standard Roaming is set as the default setting. You can check our standard low cost roaming rates by visiting www.truphone.com.
Economy Roaming
When you arrive in a non-Truphone country where Economy roaming is available we will notify you by text message.
To access these lower call rates all you need to do is dial the number (always using the full country code) adding 100 to the start of the number and # at end. For example to dial the UK number, 0203 318 0742, you would need to dial *100* 44203 318 0742 #.
After dialling the number your call will disconnect, a few seconds later your mobile will ring (i.e. "call you back") and when you answer the call you will be connected to the person you wish to speak to.
In a small number of countries where roaming would not usually be possible you can still make calls using the Economy roaming calling method. We will notify you by text message when you arrive in a country where Economy roaming is the default option.
Please note in these countries the same dialling format applies to the Truphone shortcodes. For example to access your Voicemail using the 505 shortcode you would need to dial *100*505#.
