Sending a Text

You can now also use the Tru App to send text messages to/from anywhere in the world. Exactly the same rates apply from wherever in the world, you connect to, and use Tru.

To send a text you will need to purchase a Tru Number, or link a GSM number to your Tru App account.

To send a Tru text message...

1. Open the keypad screen by pressing the phone   icon from the menu bar.

2. Click Country Codes to choose the country code for the number you wish to send a text to. 

Tip! International numbers begin with ‘+’ followed by the country code. For example, to text a UK mobile enter: ‘+447XXXXXXXXX’.

3. Type the number you wish to send a text message to by using your computer’s keyboard or clicking the numbers on screen. 

When you have entered the number just press…

4. Begin typing your message.

To send the message, just hit enter/return on your keyboard. 

Did You Know? A single message is up to 160 characters long. If you wish to write more, your message will be sent as several text messages.
