Receiving a Call

Other Tru users can call you for FREE, by adding you as a ‘TruFriend’.

You will not pay to receive Truphone calls. Simply ensure that you are connected to Truphone (via Wi-Fi or 3G), and that you keep the Tru App open.

You can also purchase an inbound Tru Number, which would enable you to receive internet calls from standard landlines/mobiles.

To receive a Tru Call...

1. The Tru App will alert you when you are receiving an inbound Truphone call with a unique Truphone ring…

To answer or decline the call just select

2. Once you accept the incoming Truphone call you will see this screen allowing you to complete the following in call features:

To transfer the call press  

If you are also using the Tru App on another device, you can transfer inbound calls! 

Simply press the call transfer button and all of your other online Tru App devices will ring. Just answer the call as normal and continue talking. This is a great feature if you are moving away from your computer; perhaps moving to a different room, or popping out for lunch. 

Upgrading to a Tru Number

You may also be interested in upgrading to a Tru Number.

Having a Tru Number means you can receive calls via the internet. Adding a Tru Number essentially upgrades your Computer into a phone!

1. Click on  and choose Visit My Account to be redirected to the My Account section of our website

2. Choose Store from the left bar

3. Choose the length of time you would like to have a Tru Number for (1 Month/1 Year), then click Buy
