To use Tru you need to have an unlocked phone, which is a phone that works with any network's SIM card in it.

How do I know if my phone is unlocked?

Easy! Take your SIM card out of your phone, and insert a SIM card from another network.

If your phone still works as normal, your phone is unlocked and ready to use with Tru. If your phone displays an error message like 'Invalid SIM' or 'SIM Card Not Accepted' this means that your phone is locked.

My phone is locked. What do I do?

Don't worry, unlocking is simple. There are many third party services available that can assist you with unlocking your phone. Here are three of the more reputable ones (a Google search will find a lot more).
