London, 20th January 2010: Truphone, the next generation mobile operator, today announces Truphone Local Anywhere, a full GSM mobile phone service designed to bring cost effective and convenient communications to businesses that operate internationally. The service is available for consumers today, with pre-launch business trials commencing on 27th January 2010.
The single smart SIM card provides business travellers with local numbers and local voice, data and text rates in all countries that Truphone has established operations. Costly roaming charges can now be avoided without swapping SIM cards, juggling phones or operating complex dial back systems.
The multi-IMSI service is available for purchase today for the UK and the US. The company plans to rapidly roll-out to a number of key business and leisure destinations in 2010 including across Europe and long-haul destinations such as Australia, Hong Kong and South Africa.

1. Mary travels to the US at least twice a month. She uses an average of 750 minutes per month, nearly 40% of which is whilst she is in the US.
