Installation problems?

Our brilliant customer service team have helped us put together the following list of problems that can occur during installation, but if you're still having difficulties then email support@truphone.com and we will be happy to help.

  • I didn't receive a text from Truphone
    During the installation process you should receive two text messages: one at the beginning containing a web link to download Truphone, and another towards the end containing your Truphone number and online account details. If you don't receive either of these SMS then send an email to support@truphone.com including your mobile number.Blank Image
  • I can't download Truphone after clicking the link you sent me
    Make sure that you can browse the web (i.e. are connected to a WiFi or 3G network). If you are online, but still can't download Truphone, email support@truphone.com.
  • I keep getting a message saying my handset is unsupported, but it is in the list.
    If you're having difficulties getting Truphone using the standard method then you can try downloading the Truphone file to your PC or Mac and then sending it to your phone manually. Read more.
  • I'm not sure whether I installed correctly as I wasn't prompted to connect to the service.
    Some older handsets (such as the Nokia N80ie) require an extra step at the end of the installation process. Don't worry though, it only takes three clicks!
