How do I integrate my Contacts with the Truphone App?

Integrating your existing Contacts into the Truphone App is easy - you just need to give the App access to your phonebook.

To do this, find the Truphone App in your phone's Settings, navigate to Privacy Settings and switch the Contacts button to ON.

Integrating your contacts this way is perfectly secure; all Contacts remain your own and we don't upload the data or use it in any way other than to share them within the app.

How do I add credit to the App?

The first step is to log in to your account via the Truphone website - look for the 'My Account' button in the top right. After that, follow the on-screen instructions to add credit. 

Why wasn't I sent a PIN when I changed my Caller ID?

If you didn't receive your PIN via SMS when changing your Truphone Caller ID, please contact our Customer Service team on 0203 318 0742 or with an email to AppHelp@Truphone.com.

How do I close my Truphone account?

Obviously we're very sorry you want to close your Truphone account, but if you contact our Customer Service team on 0203 318 0742 then we'll process the request as quickly as possible. 

What is Truphone's privacy policy?

Our policy is to always respect your privacy, no matter what.

We pledge that we won't ever store your details unless we absolutely need them to deliver a service to you.

We promise that we'll never send you spam or sell your details to anyone.

We promise to always tell you what we're using your details for, if you ask.

We believe your details belong to you, not us. We use a few of them to deliver the best mobile experience we can, but that's it - and if you ever leave Truphone, your data leaves with you. Simple. 

How does the Truphone App work?

Without getting too technical, the Truphone App takes two existing technologies that already do the same thing and combines them into one, unified platform. That means all you have to to make a phone call is just press call - the App will automatically handle all the rest.

Do you sell my data?

No, never. We don’t like it when other companies steal or sell our data, so we promise to never do that to you. 

There are a few times when we need your data to provide a specific function, such as integrating your phonebook into the Truphone App, but then we use your data only for that specific purpose. Afterwards, we'll delete it if we can. 

Truphone is serious about protecting your privacy. We will never send you spam or sell your details on - and if you ever decide to leave Truphone then we'll destroy all your information when you go.

Why should I invite people to use the Truphone App?

There are lots of reasons to tell your friends about the Truphone App, not least of which is that it will give them access to free, HD calls over Wi-Fi.

One big reason to tell your friends about the Truphone App though is that it makes it easier to make free calls to them, as having more Truphone contacts in your address book means you can make more free calls too!

Are there any hidden connection fees?

No. We hate hidden connection fees. In fact, we hate all sorts of hidden fees - which is why the Truphone App tells you how much a call will cost before you press dial.
